🌸 Cherry Blossom Mini Photo Sessions Are Here! 🌸
One of the most magical times of the year is nearly here—and I’m so excited to be offering Cherry Blossom Mini Sessions again!
These sessions are a quick and beautiful way to capture your family in a natural, stunning setting while the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Whether you’ve done a mini shoot before or this is your first time, here’s everything you need to know.
Where Will the Sessions Be Held?
This year, sessions will take place at one of two locations:
- Massey/Bledisloe Park
- Park in the Bledisloe carpark. Walk through the walkway, cross the first bridge, and follow the path into Massey. I’ll be set up somewhere around that area!
- IPU in Summerhill
- Entrance is off Summerhill Drive (opposite the shopping center). Drive through the iron gates, take the first right, and head up the hill to the lake. There’s a carpark at the top—look for me somewhere around the lake!
What Time of Day Will the Photos Be Taken?
I’ve scheduled the sessions to take place during the best times for soft, flattering light—you can trust that the timing will help us get the most beautiful shots possible.
How Long is the Session?
These are 15-minute mini sessions—short and sweet!
If you’re hoping to include extended family or multiple families, I recommend booking two sessions back-to-back for more time and variety.
Please plan to arrive 5 minutes early to avoid delays, as sessions are booked one after another.
What Should We Wear?
Here are some styling tips to help your photos really pop:
- Neutral colours with a pop of something bold—think earth tones like tans, browns, greens, or reds
- Textures like denim, jackets, or knits
- Flowy dresses for women and girls always photograph beautifully
- Accessories like hats can add a lovely touch!
What to Avoid:
- Logos, cartoon characters, or text on clothing—they can be distracting in photos.
What to Expect During the Session
I keep things fun, relaxed, and easygoing. We’ll do a mix of:
- Full family poses
- Kids only
- Individual shots of each child
- Any special groupings you’d like
We’ll move around a bit to get variety while keeping things natural and playful.

What Will I Receive?
After your session, you'll receive a proof gallery where you can view all the best edited images from your shoot. From there, you’ll be able to:
- Choose 10 high-resolution images to download and keep.
- Purchase additional images at $15 each.
- Or, buy the entire gallery at a special discounted rate (details will be included in your proof gallery email).
Your proof gallery will be delivered approximately 3 weeks after your session. This allows time for careful editing to ensure your images are polished and beautiful!
